For the most part, Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone have been pretty respectful to one another, while discussing their proposed bout. But, clearly “Cowboy’s” getting a little tired of the delays the fight’s incurred, which he says McGregor’s responsible for.

Cerrone began calling for a bout with McGregor a few months ago, and the former lightweight and featherweight champ said he was on board. More recently, however, Joe Rogan relayed he had heard the UFC was hoping to have the fight as a co-headliner, and that McGregor wasn’t down.

Well, since then, Cerrone spoke with ESPN, and the rugged vet also said he’s heard the same.

“Conor won’t fight unless it’s a main event,” Cerrone said. “I don’t know if it’s an ego thing or a status thing for him. I don’t give a s—. I’ll fight anyone, anywhere, and I stand by that all the time. I guess he’s a prima donna and only takes main event spots. I don’t know.”

“…I’m more annoyed that he went radio silent after putting it out. I get it, you want to stay relevant by putting it out there, but then you can’t go radio silent. Sack up, b—-. Sign the f—ing paper.”

You can understand why Cerrone’s frustrated here, as a fight with McGregor would be huge for him. But at the same time, it shouldn’t be too surprising the biggest name in all of MMA, wants to fight in the headliner. Here’s hoping the fight gets finalized.
