Conor McGregor will make his return later this year as part of The Ultimate Fighter.
The former two-division UFC champion will coach opposite Michael Chandler on the 31st edition of the reality series. It will mark his second appearance in such a role.
UFC president Dana White made the announcement, confirming that McGregor and Chandler will meet after the series ends. They are likely to collide in the welterweight division.
The Ultimate Fighter 31 debuts May 30 on ESPN and ESPN+ and is set to conclude on August 15 with episodes airing weekly. No further details have been released about the season.
On Instagram, Chandler stated “Pumped is an understatement.”
During a video posted on Twitter, White also said that UFC 287 will take place in Miami later this year and that Sean O’Malley has signed a new fight contract.
