Donald Cerrone has buzzed the MMA world by reporting he’s “waiting” on Conor McGregor, and Chael Sonnen is clearly on board with the proposed bout.
Cerrone recently shared out a post on Instagram, which teased a fight with the Irish superstar. Well, as it happens, Sonnen recently gave this take on the proposed showdown (quotes via Bloody Elbow):
“There is something to a Donald Cerrone-Conor McGregor fight that makes a lot more sense than maybe a lot of people put together,” Sonnen said in vlog post.
“…That fight sells. That fight works. That’s the kind of fight I think stylistically that Conor’s gonna look at and go ‘Yeah, I would take that.’ For sure, Cowboy’s gonna look at that and take that.”
Yup. There’s no doubt Cerrone – McGregor would be a big-time bout. The question is, however, is McGregor interested in that fight? Hopefully we find out sooner than later.
