Patricio Pitbull retained his title in the main event of Bellator 286.
Set from the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California, the main card aired live on Showtime.
In his first bout since reclaiming the featherweight title, Pitbull scored a decision victory over top contender Adam Borics. The former two-division champion improved to 34-5 in his career, including a 9-1 run since 2017.
During that time, only AJ McKee has bested Pitbull. And he was able to avenge that defeat.
Speaking of McKee, he was also in action, making his lightweight debut. In the co-main event, McKee topped Spike Carlyle via decision. The fight actually took place at a catchweight after Carlyle missed weigh-in.
Jeremy Kennedy earned a win over top prospect Aaron Pico. Pico tried to fight through a separated shoulder suffered in the bout, but the doctor called a stop to the action after the first round.
In the main card opener, Juan Archuleta bested Enrique Barzola via decision.
