Paul Daley added yet another, highlight-reel stoppage win to his record tonight, as the feared striker took out Saad Awad at Bellator 232.
The lightweight Awad was stepping up on short notice as a replacement for welterweight Sabah Homasi.
Round one
Awad fired a few leg kicks early into the fight and Daley pressed forward. Awad shot in after the opening minute but Daley moved away. Moments later, Awad shot in again but Daley defended one more time. Daley landed a nice hook moments later and Awad waved him on. Daley planted a hard leg kick not long after. Awad scored with a nice straight right and Daley stepped up his pressuring. Daley jumped in a with a kick but Awad clinched up. Daley broke free and threatened with some big punches. Awad shot in again but Daley squashed it one more time.
Round two
Daley came out aggressively in round two and fired some big punches. Daley slipped to the floor and Awad took hs back along the cage. Daley worked his way up and out and landed a hard punch to the body. Moments later, Daley floored Awad with a huge left hook and as he followed up, the ref stopped the fight.
