Mayweather vs Gotti III was a rematch that nobody asked for but still got anyway. And to the surprise of no one, the second time around was no different than their original clash.
What Happened:Â In the rematch, Floyd Mayweather again showed he was light years ahead of Gotti III as a fighter, even at 47. He also displayed the ridiculous power he had over the fight and card by firing his referee in Round 2 after being unhappy with a warning about an illegal blow to the back of the head.
The Fallout:Â There are no official winners or losers in an exhibition bout but Mayweather clearly was victorious in this rematch. And unlike the last time, at least the fight was able to be completed without a wild melee between the two fighters’ entourages.
