Jake Paul Versus Canelo Alvarez Fight Close To ‘Done’? Maybe

Take it for what it is worth, but we could be in store for a Jake Paul vs. Canelo Alvarez boxing match in 2025. According to reports, the fight is done. But Paul’s team seems to have different feelings on it all.

Paul’s advisor, Nakisa Bidarian, was quick to decline the report made out by Eddie Hearn. But the fighter did nothing to squash talks himself with an online post of Alvarez.

“Wild times when the media is running with a confirmation of a potential fight based on the words of a person who has nothing to do with the fight,” Bidarian posted. “When there is something to announce, we will announce it. No outside promoter has any accurate insight on our discussions being concluded or not.”

Paul also posted that he is the “A-side in every fight I’ve been in and that’s not changing for this one.”

“Fighters forget who made them so quick and bring around these weirdos who live to make a % fee of them,” he posted. “(Expletive) you and your (expletive) 2010 business skills.”

Paul has not fought since his win over Mike Tyson on Netflix last year. He has been rumored for several fights including one vs. his brother, WWE superstar Logan Paul.

As for Alvarez, it was rumored that he was ready to accept a fight with Terence Crawford. The legend is expected to compete in May as he typically does each year for Cinco De Mayo weekend.

Regardless of what you think of Paul and his antics, a fight with Alvarez would definitely draw eyes to a sport that needs it. Anytime Paul – or his brother – is involved, fans tune in.
