Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is reportedly putting together a massive offer worth close to a billion dollars to buy a stake in one of the most popular franchises in the NFL.
Hate him or love him, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will go down as one of the 10 greatest fighters in boxing history. During a career that spanned just over 20 years, the Michigan native defeated the greatest fighters of his era while putting up a 50-0 record.

During his career, he took part in some of the most lucrative bouts in combat sports history. Including against fellow legend Manny Pacquiao and UFC great Conor McGregor. But unlike some of his contemporaries, he has been very smart with his money and is one of the richest combat athletes of all time.
And it seems, he is plotting to use some of that massive wealth to buy a minority ownership stake that just became available from a beloved NFL franchise.

Floyd Mayweather to buy an ownership stake in the New York Giants?
“TMZ Sports has learned that 47-year-old Mayweather and his business partner, prominent real estate magnate, Meyer Orbach, are putting together an offer [for the New York Giants],” the outlet reported this week. “There will likely be another wealthy investor added to the team, per what we are being told from our sources.
“We’re told the offer will be in the neighborhood of $700 million. And the plan is to submit the proposal soon. We’re told TBE has already moved $200 million into an escrow account.”
Reports emerged last week the Giants were looking to put a 10% stake in the popular organization up for sale. The famous New York football franchise that has existed since 1925 is worth $7.5 billion according to a recent Forbes valuation.
That is fourth most in the NFL behind the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, and Dallas Cowboys.
