Could Mike Tyson actually be the reason we see Canelo Alvarez fight Jake Paul? It appears as if the world champion has some interest in the bout after all.
Alvarez told reporters recently that he could accept the Paul fight. But his reasoning would be to avenge the loss suffered by Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champion who went the distance with Paul.

“I never say no to business,” Alvarez said. “I thought about getting revenge for Tyson. But we will see.”
Alvarez has held multiple world titles in four weight classes, unifying the belts in three of them. The 34-year-old from Mexico fought this past September, defeating Edgar Berlanga.
Since a loss to Dmitry Bivol for the light heavyweight belt in 2022, Alvarez has won five straight. He has bested the likes of Jaime Munguia, Jermell Charlo, and Gennady Golovkin during the run.
Paul, who has transitioned from YouTube to boxing, earned a decision over Tyson last month. He is 8-1 overall with the lone loss coming to Tommy Fury in 2023.
Along with besting Tyson, Paul also owns wins over Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley. Fury is the lone “current” boxer he has ever faced in nine career bouts.
Pau also runs his own promotion, Most Valuable Promotions, and pocketed a nice bag of cash for his victory over Tyson. That bout aired live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium just outside of Dallas.
Does the idea of seeing Alvarez step into the ring with Paul excite you? Would you pay to watch it on pay-per-view?
