Dolph Ziggler, AKA Nic Nemeth, Gives Definitive Answer On Potential WWE Return Via TNA and NXT Partnership

Could Dolph Ziggler make a return to WWE via the partnership between NXT and TNA? The former multi-time WWE champion has given a definitive answer to that possibility.

For nearly 20 years, Dolph Ziggler was one of the most respected and reliable members of the WWE roster. Whether he was a main eventer, Intercontinental Champion, or tag team specialist, he filled whatever role the company needed. But after a memorable run, he departed the company in 2023.

Since leaving the promotion he has made the rounds on the independent scene and has found a consistent home in TNA. The company formerly known as Impact Wrestling has developed a partnership with WWE development league NXT. And this has opened the door for surprise appearances from TNA talent on NXT broadcasts.

There has been speculation about several former WWE stars on the TNA roster making returns to the company that made them famous, including Matt and Jeff Hardy. On Thursday, Comicbook.com asked Nic Nemeth, formerly Dolph Ziggler, about a possible return to WWE in NXT. But the idea doesn’t seem to have much appeal to him.

“I feel like that’s more for some up-and-comers and some people with unfinished business,” Nemeth said about an appearance in NXT. “I think after 19 years, there’s no unfinished business there at NXT for me. Now, if Randy Orton calls me out on Raw, okay, let’s talk.

“But at the moment, that NXT back and forth and getting people to jump and not know who’s going to be there, I love that there’s a possibility that I could show up and everyone would go, what the hell? And I also wonder what music do we play, and what name do we [use]? But that’s fine.”

The man formerly known as Dolph Ziggler won nearly every title in WWE during his time in the company, including the WWE title twice.
