Now that Ricochet is no longer with WWE and he’s a free agent, the latest update indicates where he is likely to sign. It’s not a tough guess.

There were many contracts in WWE up and most re-signed like Chad Gable and Seth Rollins. Although, not everyone. Becky Lynch did not ink a new deal, but she will probably be back. Then, there is Ricochet. He decided to depart and WWE wrote him off by getting destroyed by Bron Breakker. Ricochet can sign anywhere he wants right now.

While Ricochet remains uncommitted, apparently he and Tony Khan have been speaking about him coming to AEW. According to Fightful Select, Ricochet will be signing with AEW very soon. “Ricochet is expected in the company soon, and there was some interesting movement on that,” the report noted. “Ricochet’s agent was backstage at AEW this week, and we’re told had been leading the subsequent talks between the two sides. Ricochet’s agent also represents a number of other talent across WWE and AEW.”

When it come to talent, few can match what Ricochet produces in the ring. Besides being on the small side, his lack of cutting a decent promo did not help. There were moments where he he held gold. And, there were times he would lose within two minutes. He found the most success in NXT, where he was the breakout star of 2018 and North American Champion. On the main roster, he also won gold like the Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship and was the inaugural Speed Champion.

Now, if he does sign with AEW, a match with Will Ospreay must happen. They met years ago and tore the house down. Hopefully, Ricochet can help AEW improve in the ratings. I do not think he can move the needle like that, but he certainly creates unfortunate spots. So, does the latest Ricochet update basically confirm he is All Elite?
