We are no-longer in the Vince McMahon era as it is Triple H now having the power. Overall, the product has dramatically improved all-around. Most of the changes have seen positive responses, although the next one might not be so lucky. On RAW, Karrion Kross and Scarlett provoked Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to a singles match. Woods was ready to accept before Kofi grabbed the verbal invitation. Clearly, Wood’s eyes showed he was not happy.

I never thought WWE would split the group up, but that appears to be the direction. In the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that the group has run its course. “I guess they are going to break up the New Day,” said Melter. “I mean, nothing lasts forever in WWE. Here’s the problem though. If you break them up, neither of them are going to do much.” And, he has point. Woods’ biggest claim to fame is winning King of the Ring, but nothing materialized. Kingston defeated Bryan Danielson at WrestleMania 35 to win his first and only WWE Championship. He latter dropped it to Brock Lesnar in under 10 seconds on SmackDown.

New Day Struggled Without Big E

Since day one, the group has only consisted of Kingston, Woods and Big E.  In March 2022, former WWE Champion, Big E, suffered a broken neck during SmackDown. He is lucky to be able to walk, but his pro wrestling days are likely over. There have been no signs of him being cleared and he has taken on more backstage roles, while also representing WWE for the media.

I thought the New Day would be over real fast, yet here we are. Two become top champions and Woods is like a mid-card wrestler. Although, they need to go their separate ways. Everything they do seems rather stale. Also, not having Big E around has lowered their status on the roster. So, do you think the New Day breaking up is only a matter of time?
