Conor McGregor will not be appearing at a scheduled UFC 303 press conference in his home country of Ireland.

The event was expected to take place Monday with McGregor, Michael Chandler and UFC president Dana White. Late Sunday night, though, the UFC confirmed that the event was postponed.

Now, it appears to be completely off, according to McGregor.

“In consultation with the UFC, today’s press conference was cancelled due to a series of obstacles outside of our control,” McGregor posted on social media. “I apologize to my Irish fans, and fans around the world, for the inconvenience and appreciate all your passion and support.

“I can’t wait to put on the greatest all-time show in the Octagon.”

As of now, McGregor and Chandler remain scheduled for UFC 303 on June 29. This press event was set for the 3Arena in Dublin.

Conor McGregor Fails To Explain Cancellation Of Event

McGregor coming out and releasing a statement is one thing. Actually providing a real explanation, though, seems to be off the table.

White was set to fly out to Ireland for the event this weekend right after UFC 202. Same for Chandler, who is busy preparing for the bout.

McGregor, meanwhile, has been filmed numerous times out partying and enjoying the nightlife as he prepares to return. The former two-division champion has not fought since 2021 when he lost to Dustin Poirier.

He has remained active, appearing as a key character in the remake of “Road House.”

For now, we will hope and pray that McGregor and Chandler make it to the end of the month.
