While speaking on his YouTube channel, Michael Bisping expressed his displeasure for the former WBC champ’s corner for giving Tyson Fury “conflicting advice.”

“You need a cool, calm, collected corner. The corner work for 60 seconds in a situation where the stakes are so high is absolutely vital. A lot of the time you don’t need to tell them how to box. You need to calm their minds and give them an accurate reflection of what is going on in the fight and therefore go out there, spot one or two key things. You can’t have people shouting all over the place. That’s absolute madness.”

Bisping to Tyson Fury’s Father: Know Your Place

Bisping specifically believes John Fury, Tyson Fury’s outspoken father, is directly responsible for the disarray by “screaming over the top of” coach SugarHill Steward. “Of course, John Fury is his father and he’s emotionally invested but sometimes you’ve got to know your place,” he said.

The UFC Hall of Famer and part time commentator compared the chaotic minute between rounds with his own experience in the Octagon.

“When I was fighting in mixed martial arts, I had Jason Parillo as my lead guy. I had Brady Fink who was my grappling coach. And he would give general thoughts on the fight, Jason Parillo talk about some striking and then speak to Brady if it was necessary. You can’t have people just getting emotional and trying to be heard and be seen on camera.”
