WWE and ECW legend Bubba Ray Dudley, AKA Bully Ray, says he believes what CM Punk has said about the poor behavior of former AEW star Jack Perry because he also has been disrespected by the current NJPW talent.

CM Punk made a bunch of headlines this past week during a nearly two-hour chat with popular MMA reporter Ariel Helwani on his weekly “The MMA Hour” podcast. The former AEW star and current WWE performer spoke on many topics during the lengthy conversation but a majority of it covered his infamous exit from All Elite Wrestling last year.

It all came to a head in the summer while in England during the All In event when previous issues between Punk and Perry boiled over and turned into a wild backstage dustup between the two wrestlers. The beef stemmed from the multi-time WWE and AEW world champion having to be the voice of reason when Perry was difficult with AEW authorities over a dangerous backstage stunt he wanted to do.

While many believe CM Punk was in the wrong at All In, the fact that Perry has not returned to the company since paints a picture that maybe Punk was right about Perry’s unprofessionalism. Well, one person who believes everything Punk said in the Helwani interview is WWE legend Bubba Ray Dudley. The reason why is that he has seen Perry’s poor behavior firsthand.

Bubba Ray Dudley believes everything CM Punk has claimed about Jack Perry

“When I hear these stories about a Jack Perry — like Punk saying he carried himself in a disrespectful way where he wasn’t listening to an authority figure like the doctor or an authority figure like Tony Schiavone — I believe them,” the former TNA world champion said on a new edition of the “Busted Open” podcast,

“Because I witnessed the disrespectful behavior myself. Done to me. Sat next to this guy for three days at an autograph session, and never said hello once,” he recalled. “… I ingratiated myself to this young man, this fellow wrestler and I was met with disrespect. And I’ve been very positive on this show about Jack Perry in the ring. I enjoy his story, his journey.”

Jack Perry is currently working for AEW and it is unclear if he still has a contract with AEW or if he will return for the promotion any time in the near future.
