It has been almost 10 years since Holly Holm laid out Ronda Rousey and stunned the MMA world at UFC 193.

Now, as she prepares to welcome Kayla Harrison to the Octagon Saturday at UFC 300, the former champion is answering questions about that night.

Rousey made waves recently when she disclosed having a concussion going into the bout with Holm. Less than a minute into the second round, the former boxing champion landed a head-kick that floored the ex-Olympian.

From there, Holm would lose the title to Miesha Tate in 2016 and has gone just 5-6 since with a no-contest.

“I think that it’s probably just hard for her to maybe admit that,” Holm said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I was just the better fighter.

“Was she so dominant and a good champion? 100 percent, I give her that. But she wasn’t better than me, and especially that night.”

Rousey would fight one more time after before retiring and moving to WWE.

“If you’ve made a career of fighting, you’ve had a concussion at some point,” Holm said. “You go back and look at some of my boxing fights. Some of the things I’ve done.

“I’ve definitely had some concussions. I’ll never sit here and use that as an excuse fo any loss.”

Holm, meanwhile, looks to score another landmark win when she collides with Harrison this weekend. The former PFL champion earned gold in judo at the Olympics.
