Welterweight contenders Neil Magny and Carlos Prates took over the headline role for the card. Originally, it was expected to be Brandon Moreno and Amir Albazi, but that fight was shifted to a week ago.
The card also lost the likes of former champion UFC Cody Garbrandt, former LFA champion Miles Johns, Nicolas Dalby and Ultimate Fighter winner Ricky Turcios.

Carlos Prates takes advantage, secured first round KO of Neil Magny
The name Carlos Prates will be one to watch in the coming year. Prates scored a first round knockout of veteran contender Neil Magny at UFC Vegas 100 live on ESPN+ Saturday night.
With a simple strike, Prates showed his incredible power, winning for the 21st time in 27 career bouts. He is now a perfect 4-0 since signing with the UFC, as all four have been finishes including two inside the first round.
Former ONE multi-division champion Reinier de Ridder had a successful Octagon debut. De Ridder submitted Gerald Meerschaert in the co-main event, locking up an arm-triangle choke early in the third round.
Gaston Bolanos, Gillian Robertson and Mansur Abdul-Malik were other main card winners on the night. Denise Gomes picked up a big win over Karolina Kowalkiewicz on the prelims as Elizeu Zaleski does Santos, Charles Radtke, Da’Mon Blackshear, Tresean Gore and Melissa Mullins all won by either TKO or submission.
It’s a big one next for the promotion, as UFC 309 takes place live from New York City and Madison Square Garden. In the headline fight, heavyweight champion Jon Jones defends his title against former champion Stipe Miocic. We will also see former UFC champion Charles Oliveira take on Michael Chandler, Viviane Araujo battle Karine Silva, Bo Nickal meet Paul Craig and Maurcio Ruffy square off with James Llontop.
