It seems that WWE and WCW great Bill Goldberg is still unhappy with the idea that multi-time world champion Asuka beat his legendary unbeaten streak and that stars like Roman Reigns and Charlotte use his finishing move.

Bill Goldberg will go down as one of the most popular performers from the 1990s and 2000s era of the professional wrestling industry. From the moment he debuted in 1997, he grabbed the attention of fans and never let go. For all the warts on his pure wrestling skills, his charisma and intensity were second to none.

Another thing that seems second to none is his ability to hold a grudge. In many interviews over the years, he has been unafraid to air his grievances about his time in WCW and WWE. It seemed like some of those issues were fixed after he had a memorable second run in WWE a few years back that included winning a world title. Well, not so fast.

Bill Goldberg blames Triple H for Asuka surpassing his WCW unbeaten streak

During an appearance on the “Nothing Left Unsaid” podcast, Goldberg surprisingly complained about “some Japanese girl” beating his 173-0 win streak and how many wrestlers in the company now use his popular finisher, the spear.

“A girl beat my winning streak. Yeah, I can’t even remember [her name]. ‘A-soo-ka’ is her name. Some Japanese girl. And they touted her as being the one to have the longest winning streak. And it just so happened that that culminated when I got there. And then, it just so happened that every single wrestler uses the spear in their moves. Pretty ironic that happened when I got there, right?”

Bill Goldberg would go on to claim that a poor relationship with Paul “Triple H” Levesque is the cause for current issues with the company. Asuka had a 914-day winning streak that spanned her debut in NXT to her Wrestlemania 34 loss to Charlotte.

Several wrestlers, including WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns and his cousin Jey Uso, use the spear as a prominent move in their move set.
