Paige VanZant: MMA Return ‘Would Definitely Be With PFL’

Paige VanZant

For Paige VanZant, she is still interested in returning to her roots.

VanZant, who previously competed for the UFC, is signed to a fighting deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. She also works with PFL as an announcer and views that as the place for any MMA return.

“If I were to dd MMA again, it would definitely be with the PFL,” said VanZant, during a recent appearance on The MMA Hour (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “I love the way they treat everybody. Their organization is incredible.

“I’ve been doing commentary work for them and doing behind the scenes just because I like being on camera. I’ve been having fun with that. But I do believe as of right now, just in my mind, if I were going to do MMA, it would be with PFL.

Paige VanZant Still Has Desires To Compete

Along with her combat sports career, VanZant has appeared on reality shows “Dancing with the Stars” and “Chopped.” Along with husband and fighter Austin Vanderford, the two continue to expand their social media presence with a podcast.

The 29-year-old from Oregon has been part of Team Alpha Male, Team Quest, American Top Team in Portland and now American Top Team out of Miami. She fought for the UFC last in 2020, losing to Amanda Ribas via decision.

“Looking back, I kind of had my mind made up that I was ready to leave the UFC,” VanZant said. “When I became a free agent and they came with their offer to re-sign, I was already moved on.

“That part of my life is closed and I was ready for the next chapter. I didn’t know what it would be.”
