The past 12 months were an interesting one for PFL.

Along with adding fighters such as Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul to the roster, the promotion added another promotion in Bellator MMA.

Collectively, that gives PFL the kind of roster to put together stacked cards month after month for the foreseeable future. And, it also provides them the chance to give fans the always-asking ‘champion vs. champion’ matches.

A recent article on Forbes mentioned just that, as CEO Peter Murray is looking at February for the first of such nights where PFL’s best takes on the same from Bellator.

With plans to air pay-per-view super fights through ESPN+ while remaining live on ESPN and ESPN Networks around the globe, PFL has the opportunity to take that next step over the coming 12 months.

PFL Vs. Bellator In 2024 Could Shift Landscape

Will officials be able to put together the kind of classic night everybody wants? That would mean such fights as Cris Cyborg vs. Kayla Harrison, Renan Ferreira vs. Ryan Bader, Jesus Pinedo vs. Patricio Pitbull and more.

Add in the possibility of Ngannou taking on any heavyweight on either roster and the first mixed martial arts bout of Paul’s career, and you would definitely be able to sell such a fight card.

PFL has really pushed international plans, holding a recent European championship night while also starting 2024 qualifying matches.

The article asks how they can take that next step, indicating an addition of weight classes and a few more headline fighters. Those two areas could easily be obtainable with the newest roster additions.
