Michael Page Wants Leon Edwards Fight In United Kingdom

Michael Page

Michael Page is one of the top fighters from England currently in mixed martial arts.

Now, Page is a member of the UFC roster.

During a recent interview on The MMA Hour, Page discussed the idea of a potential title fight with current division champion Leon Edwards.

“The fact is, we’re prizefighters,” Page said (thanks to MMA News for the quotes). “When the time comes, we’re gonna get to work.

“I can already envision it. I can already see MVP, Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards, in the UK, two British fighters. That is gonna be unbelievable.”

Edwards scored a title defense over Colby Covington at UFC 296 this past weekend. Following the card, it was confirmed that Page has signed with the promotion, agreeing to meet Kevin Holland in early 2024 at UFC 299 from Miami.

Michael Page Brings A Strong Resume

Before joining the UFC, Page fought for several years in Bellator MMA. He challenged for the interim welterweight title in 2022, falling to Logan Storley.

After winning his first 14 pro fights, Page was bested by Douglas Lima. He rebounded, winning six in a row, including four finishes and a split decision over Lima.

In March, he downed Goiti Yamauchi to improve to 21-2 with 13 knockout wins.
