UFC Results

Welcome to the latest UFC results, as UFC Vegas 79 – also known as UFC Fight Night 228 – took place Saturday from the Apex in Las Vegas. In the main event, lightweight contenders Rafael Fiziev and Mateusz Gamrot squared off. All of the action aired live on ESPN+. Now, let us get to the latest UFC results.

UFC Results: Injury Puts An End To Main Event

Mateusz Gamrot was awarded a second round TKO victory Saturday night in the main event of UFC Vegas 79. A knee injury to Rafael Fiziev put a halt to the contest from Las Vegas and the Apex live on ESPN+.

Gamrot, a former KSW featherweight and lightweight champion, scored one of the biggest wins of his UFC career with the victory. The 32-year-old from Poland has now won two straight and six of seven overall.

In the co-main event, Bryce Mitchell picked up a decision over Dan Ige in a featherweight classic. Mitchell rebounded from his first career loss, a submission defeat last December to Ilia Topuria, moving to 16-1 in his career.

UFC Results: Big-Time Victory For Marina Rodriguez

The heavyweight favorite coming in, Marina Rodriguez did not disappoint. Rodriguez finished Michelle Waterson-Gomez with strikes in the second round of their women’s strawweight affair.

Rodriguez, in need of a win after back-to-back losses, is now 17-3-2 in her career. For Waterson-Gomez, the loss kept her winless since 2020 and dropped her to 0-2 vs. Rodrigez and 18-12 overall.

Bryan Battle submitted AJ Fletcher and Charles Jourdain did the same to Ricardo Ramos to round out the main card.

UFC Results: Decisions, A DQ Among Prelim Fights

In the prelim main event, Miles Johns got the better of Dan Argueta, scoring a decision victory. That was one of four fights to go to the scorecard.

Mohammed Usman downed Jake Collier, Mizuki Inoue topped Hannah Goldy and Monterrat Rendon got by Tamires Vidal.

TIm Means finished Andre Fialho with strikes and Cody Brundage was awarded a disqualification win over Jacob Malkoun.

What Is Next

The Octagon remains in Las Vegas and the Apex next Saturday with Grant Dawson and Bobby Green in a lightweight main event.

The card also features Alex Morono taking on Joaquin Buckley, Drew Dober meeting Ricky Glenn and Philipe Lins facing Ion Cutelaba.
