UFC Results: Alexa Grasso-Valentina Shevchenko Put On A Show

Both Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko gave it everything they had Saturday night in the main event of Noches UFC.

The card aired live on ESPN+, celebrating Mexican Independence Day from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Grasso, who won the women’s flyweight championship earlier this year with a stunning submission of Shevchenko, left with the title still around her waist after a split draw was read by Bruce Buffer.

Early on, the former champion used her power to score takedowns and work for submissions but Grasso fired back late, dominating the final minutes of the fight.

UFC Results: Jack Della Maddalena Stuns Kevin Holland

The co-main event saw quite the surprise when Jack Della Maddalena was declared the winner over Kevin Holland. Maddalena pulled out the split decision for his 16th consecutive win.

He has not lost since his first two pro fights, a run that includes six wins in the UFC and a seventh on Dana White’s Contender Series. For Holland, the loss ended a two-fight win streak for him.

Raul Rosas Jr. made short work of Terrence Mitchell, ending the fight within the first minute of the first round. Rosas connected in their bantamweight battle, scoring the finish.

Kicking off the main card was a three-round affair in the featherweight division that saw Kyle Nelson come out on top over Fernando Padilla. Daniel Zellhuber followed with a second round submission of Christos Giagos.

UFC Results: Finishes Headline Prelims

Three of the prelim bouts ended early, including the main event between Lupita Godinez and Elise Reed.

Godinez locked in a rear-naked choke in the second round of their women’s strawweight match, earning the win. The native of Mexican has now picked up three consecutive victories and is 11-3 overall.

Roman Kopylov continued his climb in the middleweight division, finishing Josh Fremd with a shot to the body. Kopylov has now finished each of his last four opponents and is 12-2 with 11 of the 12 wins coming by knockout or TKO.

Charlie Campbell also claimed a finish, stopping Alex Reyes in the first round. Tracy Cortez and Joseline Lindgren Knutsson were winners by decision while the Edgar Chairez-Daniel Lacerda bout ended in a no-contest due to a premature stoppage.
