The two events set for August in New York City for the 2023 PFL playoffs are now set, as the last of the semifinals will take place inside the SmartCage on August 19 and 23.
PFL 2023 Playoffs In New York City All Set
The two upcoming PFL playoff events for 2023 in New York City are now official, as the semifinals will take to the SmartCage from The Theater at Madison Square Garden on August 19 and August 23.
All the action will air live on ESPN and stream on ESPN+.
Up first will be the heavyweight and women’s featherweight divisions, with Renan Ferreira vs. Maurice Greene tabbed as the main event. In the co-main event, reigning lightweight women’s champion Larissa Pacheco will face off against Olena Kolesnyk.
Just a few days later, the lightweight and welterweights will be in action. Clay Collard battles Shane Burgos and 2022 champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier squares off with Bruno Miranda.
“We are thrilled to bring two 2023 PFL Playoff events back to New York City at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on August 18 and 23,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations, Ray Sefo. “Our athletes have worked all season long for this kind of opportunity, and sixteen fighters have the chance to punch their ticket to the 2023 PFL World Championship with a $1 million purse awaiting.”
