Along with airing live on ABC, fights streamed on ESPN+ from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Auditorium. This marked the sixth trip for the Octagon to Jacksonville, as Josh Emmett and Ilia Topuria met in the main event.
UFC Results: Ilia Topuria Remains Unbeaten
Ilia Topuria made quite the statement at UFC on ABC 5 Saturday, dominating his way to a main event win over Josh Emmett. The former interim title contender was no match for Topuria, as he controlled the action from the onset.
Topuria swept the scorecards, including an almost-unseen score of 50-42. The other two judges also gave the prospect all five rounds.
With the win, he is now 14-0 overall, a mark that includes six wins inside the Octagon.
Maycee Barber Stuns Favorite Amanda Ribas
As the second round drew to a close, Maycee Barber found her opening. And she attacked in a flyweight contest with Amanda Ribas.
Barber picked up a TKO victory over the favored Ribas, landing strikes and elbows at will. The 25-year-old stretched her current win streak to five consecutive fights, improving to 13-2 overall.
Austen Lane and Justin Tafa battled to a no-contest after an accidental eye poke ended the heavyweight encounter just 29 seconds in.
David Onama and Brendan Allen each picked up main card wins, as Onama knocked out Gabriel Santos and Allen submitted Bruno Silva.
Neil Magny Grinds Out Prelim Win
Neil Magny used his wrestling skills to secure a split decision over Philip Rowe in the prelim main event. All the prelim fights aired live on ESPN and streamed on ESPN+.
Mateusz Rebecki was the only fighter on this portion of the card to earn a finish, as he stopped Loik Radzhabov in the second round.
Picking up decisions were Randy Brown, Tabatha Ricci, Joshua Van, Jose Mariscal, Jack Jenkins and Sedriques Dumas.
What’s Next
A big month in the promotion begins Saturday, July 1 with Sean Strickland and Abusupiya Magomedov meeting in the main event live on ESPN. Flanking the middleweight contest will be Damir Ismagulov vs. Grant Dawson, Max Griffin vs. Michael Morales and Ariane Lipski vs. Melissa Gatto.
