Combate Global returns to Paramount+ this Sunday with a five-fight card set from Miami. In the main event, Cristian Perez battles Bruno Cannetti in a lightweight contest.
Four New Fights Added To Combate Global Card
This coming Sunday, Combate Global will air live from Miami on Paramount+. In a previously announced main event, Cristian Perez takes on Bruno Cannetti.
Four other new fights have been added to the event including Martin Bravo vs. Jose Ferreira. The other new bouts include Melissa Gomez vs. Anna Somers, Hector Ferral vs. Fabia Sintes and Damari Olivares vs. Tyler Schaefer.
Bravo Has Ultimate Fighter Experience
Bravo, who is 13-3 overall, was a winner on The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3 under the UFC’s banner. He competed at lightweight, besting fighters from nine different Spanish speaking countries.
The 29-year-old joined Combate Global in 2021 and has scored back-to-back first round finishes over Andrew Whitney and Jose Estrada. He has been on the sidelines since that year with an injury.
Ferreira owns a perfect 10-0 record since turning pro five years ago. Recently, he relocated to Chicago to train with MIke Valle’s Team VFS.
Last November 4, Ferreira returned to La Jaula, scoring a first round (4:39) TKO (knee strike to the body, followed by punches) on Venezuelan Genier Penagos.
Look At The Rest Of The Fight Card
Gomez is a perfect 2-0 and will be looking to hand Somers her second loss in three pro fights. They meet in the women’s atomweight division.
The 31-year-old Gomez jumpstarted her professional career with Combate Global in 2022, earning back-to-back victories – a unanimous decision over Jharely Reyes and a split decision over Elizabeth Avila – on May 20 and August 12, respectively.
Like Gomez, the 29-year-old Somers of Chicago notched her first professional career win in 2022 with a first round (4:05) technical submission of Mexico’s Irlanda Galindo by way of kimura, after Galindo refused to tap out on April 8.
Ferral and Sintes square off at bantamweight, while Olivares and Schaefer collide in the women’s strawweight division.
