What is the AEW status of Serena Deeb, considering the pro wrestling veteran has been off AEW TV for an extended period of time without explanation?
AEW Status Of Serena Deeb After Massive Time Off TV
Like any company, AEW has some positives and negatives. A major comment from fans has been the lack of value in their women’s division and focusing too much on Britt Baker.
When the company first started, not many of the regularly featured female wrestlers were household names. They certainly were not as known as the female superstars over in WWE.
After getting released by WWE for the second time, Serena Deeb would got a chance in AEW and it worked. A month later, she won the NWA Women’s Championship from Thunder Rosa and she appeared with the belt on AEW TV.
After a knee injury sidelined Deeb, she returned as a heel opposite Hikaru Shida. They had a nice feud, that unfortunately did not go too long.
Then, Deeb started a new angle where she would wrestle local talent for five minutes. She made quick work of her opponents, but then disappeared from AEW TV.
For over a year now, there has been no sign of Deeb on AEW programing.
Sean Sapp briefly mentioned how the AEW status of Serena Deeb has not changed. Basically, there is no creative idea for her and she has not been backstage.
Even if AEW does not book Deeb on TV, she would make for a great coach. During her second run in WWE, she worked with younger talent in the Performance Center before being released during the many massive releases.
Whether she returns to AEW or goes somewhere else, Deeb would make a great fit.
So, with the AEW status of Serena Deeb in question, does anybody want to see her join another promotion?
