With so many amazing talents that have graced the promotion’s squared circle over the years, fans wonder who are the best WWE wrestlers of all time. While many are memorable, not all have been able to stand the test of time and had an influence on the industry.

With that being said, 10 seems like such a small list to compare to the number of WWE greats that have performed for wrestling fans on our television screens in the decades the company has been around.

With all of that in mind, here are the 10 best WWE wrestlers of all time.

10. Trish Stratus

Can’t snub the ladies during this top ten list, and one female talent who helped usher in the women’s wrestling revolution was Trish Stratus. This manager-turned-wrestler elevated the division during her run in the early 2000s and dominated with seven WWE Women’s title reigns. In fact, she “retired” as champion in 2006 when she won the Women’s Championship at the Unforgiven pay-per-view (PPV) in her hometown of Toronto, defeating rival (and real-life bestie) Lita.

She’s returned with a vengeance, continuing to entertain fans with her killer promos and stellar in-ring work and that is why she is among the best WWE wrestlers of all time.

9. Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels is arguably the greatest pound-for-pound performer in WWE history. Few have had as many legendary matches and been a bigger influence on many of the top stars competing today than “HBK.” A bad back injury cost him eight valuable years, but the second chapter of his career, while different was just as memorable.

8. Charlotte Flair

Will Charlotte Flair end up being the superstar who blows her father’s record championship reign out of the water? It seems to be going in that direction. She’s a 14-time Women’s WWE Champion, and the only one to hold the NXT title, Divas title, RAW Women’s title, and SmackDown Women’s title.

No one thought any finisher could top the Figure-Four leg lock until Charlotte introduced the Figure Eight move. She’s certainly her father’s daughter and one of the best WWE wrestlers of all time.

7. John Cena

John Cena holds the top spot of most WWE titles under his belt, with wrestling icon “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Cena had polarizing popularity during his heyday (who could forget the “Let’s Go Cena/Cena Sucks” chants that dominated, whenever he performed). However, since he’s hit part-time status, he’s earned the respect of the WWE universe and been a key part of helping several other stars of today on their path to eventually landing on future best WWE wrestlers of all time lists.

6. “The Man” Becky Lynch

Many also tend to compare “The Man” Becky Lynch to Stone Cold, as her organic rise to popularity, which occurred during the buildup to the 2018 SummerSlam event, was much like Austin. She’s undeniably one of the top female draws the company has ever seen, and she shattered glass ceilings everywhere when she, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey became the first women ever, to close a WrestleMania back in 2019.

She’s a six-time WWE Women’s Champion and holds the record as the longest-reigning RAW Women’s Champion. She continues to break down barriers in women’s wrestling, so it’ll be interesting to see what “The Man” does next.

5. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan changed the face of the WWE and introduced wrestling to mainstream audiences shortly after he pinned the Iron Sheik at Madison Square Garden to win his first WWE title in 1984. He captured the attention of fans everywhere, especially young viewers who swore by Hogan’s regimen of saying his prayers, eating his vitamins, and training (with a fourth one added in 1990 during his feud with Earthquake “believing in yourself”).

Over the years, Hogan became a six-time WWE Champion, and continues to have an incredible following of fans, brother!

4. The Rock

He’s a major film star and producer now, but fans still remember the awkwardness of Rocky Maivia when he entered the land of WWE in 1996. He’d work hard to evolve his character, turn it into something of his own, and was able to achieve great success in the company, with 10 WWE title reigns.

With that being said, he also earned the respect of fans over the years during a legendary run that further built the industry, so it was no surprising when Hollywood eventually came knocking at his door.

3. Roman Reigns

Will fans ever see The Rock face Roman Reigns? Much like his cousin, Reigns was on shaky ground with the fans after The Shield broke up in 2014, and the WWE tried to “push” the superstar into the limelight. Still, some within the WWE Universe didn’t accept the superstar initially, as he has dominated the land of WWE since SummerSlam 2020.

With a record-breaking 1,000+ day reign, holding both the WWE and Universal Championship since WrestleMania 38; he’s obliterated everyone who has stepped up to challenge him. What’s next for the Tribal Chief? Only time will tell.

2. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

One of the G.O.A.T.s of wrestling, many compare Steve Austin’s rise in popularity within the WWE in the mid-90s to that of Hulk Hogan. After all, there was a massive lull in the early ‘90s where the WWE was concerned until “Stone Cold.” The shatter of the glass in his intro caused a tremendous uproar on Monday Night RAW, live events, and pay-per-views (PPVs) and still does so to this very day.

He made wrestling “cool” again, which makes it no surprise that Austin had six incredible WWE Championship reigns. He truly is a WWE superstar who has done it all: 1996 King of the Ring, three-time Men’s Royal Rumble winner, Triple Crown Champion, and WWE Hall of Famer.

1. The Undertaker

Taker, The Deadman, The Phenom; no matter how you refer to the Undertaker, he stands in a class of his own. Maybe it’s the iconic undefeated streak he held at WrestleMania for decades; perhaps it’s the fact that his persona evolved and remained relevant for years upon years with fans.

However, he is not only one of the greatest WWE champions of all time, but he’s also one of the best superstars, too. As a seven-time WWE Champion and Hall of Famer, this man’s career has been as legendary as the character he plays in the squared circle.

Honorable Mentions

It’s important to note some honorable mentions that didn’t make the list but could have (or should have). Bruno Sammartino and Bob Backlund are certainly greats that could land on any “top WWE Champion” list. Then again, who can forget Edge, Shawn Michaels, and the man who kind of runs the show now, Triple H and their accomplishments over the years.

Daniel Bryan had some great WWE Championship runs, and Randy Orton being a 14-time WWE champion deserves an honorable mention. Lastly, how can anyone forget Asuka and her WWE Women’s Championship runs; what they have done for the women’s division, and how she continues to keep fans engaged in her storytelling? Sasha Banks is another WWE female champion that broke down barriers for females to come.
