PFL: June Run Shaping Up To Be An Exciting One

PFL 4

The second half of the 2023 PFL regular season picks back up in June with three events live on ESPN Networks from Atlanta.

PFL 4 to feature Brendan Loughnane

Reigning featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane looks to move one step closer to a return to the tournament bracket when he headlines PFL 4 vs. Jesus Pinedo.

The event takes place June 8 from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta. The main card airs live on ESPN and streams on ESPN+, where the prelims will also be.

Loughnane is sitting atop the division after the opening round thanks to his victory vs. Marlon Moraes. The 33-year-old from Manchester, England has won five in a row, including back-to-back finishes of Moraes and Bubba Jenkins.

Pinedo is in serious need of a win after losing to Gabriel Braga.

Rob Wilkinson looks to make it 2-for-2

Another reigning champion, Rob Wilkinson, will also be in action. Wilkinson will take on Will Fleury in a light heavyweight fight.

The 31-year-old from Australia started off his 2023 run with a decision win over former UFC title contender Thiago Santos at PFL 1 in April. He enters riding a seven-fight win streak, with the last loss coming to current UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in 2018.

Fleury earned a win earlier this year over Krzysztof Jotko and currently sits one spot out of the Top-4.

Rest of the PFL 4 lineup

The remaining lineup includes Marthin Hamlet vs. Sam Kei, Movlid Khaybulaev vs. Daniel Torres and Santos vs. Mohammad Fakhreddine.

On the prelims, Chris Wade, Moraes, Jotko, Jenkins and Josh Silveira are all set for action.

The featherweight standings currently include Loughnane, Jenkins, Khaybulaev and Alejandro Flores in the Top-4, while Hamlet, Silveira, Ty Flores and Wilkinson hold advancing spots at light heavyweight.

Fleury and Braga are on the outside looking in.

The remaining two PFL events will also take place in June with the tournament semifinals set for later this year. All that will culminate at PFL Championships where new champions and $1 million winners are crowned.
