Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred 5 Bareknuckle MMA event is set to make history this Friday night, and the full card has been released.
Fight fans will be in for a treat this Friday night, as Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Promotions makes history.
Gamebred 5 Bareknuckle MMA will take place from the FLA Live Arena in Florida. The entire 12-fight lineup has been announced, with all the action airing live on both YouTube and Facebook.
In the main event, former UFC contender and Ultimate Fighter winner Roy Nelson takes on Dillon Cleckler. In the co-main event, UFC veteran Markus Perez battles former PFL light heavyweight champion Emiliano Sordi.
Calling the action will be Robin Black with Marlon Vera and Kayla Harrison joining. Vera currently fights for the UFC and Harrison, a former Olympic gold medalist, is part of the PFL roster.
It has been just short of three years since we last saw Nelson in action. Back at Bellator 244, he suffered a fifth consecutive loss at the hands of Valentin Moldavsky, falling to 23-19 overall.
Nelson’s resume reads of a who’s who of the heavyweight division. He has fought the likes of Frank Mir, Mirko Cro Cop, Antonio Silva, Derrick Lewis, Josh Barnett, Alistair Overeem, Mark Hunt, Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic.
Cleckler, a native Floridian, is 11-1 in his career including a recent finish at Gamebred 4 over Josh Burns in a boxing match. He lost to Arnold Adams last year in a bareknuckle boxing match at BKFC 25.
Several name fighters also set for action
Other announced fights include Jonathan Tuck vs. Handesson Ferreira, Joseph Penafiel vs. Irwin Rivera and Jamahl Tatum vs. Cael Seumanutafa.
UFC veteran Anthony Njokuani will meet James Freeman, Darion Abbey battles Frank Tate, Charles Bennett takes on Keith Speed and Fidel Paulino faces Alexander Schenk.
The action will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Jorge Masvidal’s YouTube and Facebook pages, along with the YouTube and Facebook pages for Gamebred FC.
