Following a big Night of Champions, we are set for an epic night in Albany on this RAW In A Nutshell!

Why would we get an epic night in Albany?

Well…we’ve got a new World Heavyweight Champion, for starters.

If that isn’t enough, we are now in a time in WWE where the Bloodline is on life support.

Also, it’s Memorial Day.

Plus…we crown new women’s tag champs tonight, thanks to Liv Morgan’s injury.

And, last but not least perhaps? Tonight on RAW, we kick off the Money In The Bank qualifying matches.

Yep…we are just over a month away from Money In The Bank, so we will start finding out who is in those matches.

So…let us get into…

Let’s crack open this Nutshell and find out how epic things can be!

Best Match of the night:

A few contenders, but for me, I am going with the main event.

Sometimes, main events tell a story and set things up.

Other times, they are primarily just one moment in time and good fun.

This one was just that, good fun, sending fans home happy with the faces claiming victory.

Worst match of the night:

I could have gone with Indus Sher and the jobbers…but no.

The women’s tag title match just didn’t do it for me.

Not a big fan of seeing Shayna and Ronda win this…I think Chelsea and Sonya would have been the better call.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

I have to give credit to the Albany crowd. Very into the show, lots of chants like “you deserve it”.

Star of the Night

Kevin and Sami were good.

AJ was good too.

Zoey and Trish and Becky? Sure.

But the night belonged to Seth Rollins.

Spot of the Night:

Nothing sticks out to me.

Jobber of the Night:

The two guys Indus Sher got to squash.

Upset of the Night:

Ludwig Kaiser was not happy with KO and Sami during their exchange.

That said, I do get the feeling that we could see Imperium be the ones to take the tag titles from the champs…and I am not opposed to it.

Match-wise? I feel like Nakamura over Bronson Reed is a minor upset.

I get why you might not expect Reed to be in a ladder match…but if WWE had Otis win one…just saying.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Can Cody get any more over? Impressive promo, yet again, from the American Nightmare.

This is a statement…

GUNTHER versus Matt Riddle? Yes…please.

Botch of the night:

Veer, trying to look tough and strong, botched his leap from the floor to the ring apron.

We had an American Alpha reference too, by accident. Apologies, I cannot remember if it was Sami or KO.

LOL Moment of the night:

Just going to leave this here…

Noteworthy Moment:

I do like the nice touch of having AJ Styles on RAW to congratulate Seth Rollins.

Plenty of chances during their segment where it felt like AJ was going to go full heel…but instead we got our main event tag match.

No surprise, but having Cody Rhodes on RAW tonight, he laid out an open challenge for their rubber match. I’d bet even money that happens in Detroit at SummerSlam…but we could see it at Money In The Bank, too.

Overall lowlights:

Really would have liked a different outcome with the women’s tag title fatal four-way.

A tournament would have been fine too. But…I just didn’t like seeing Ronda and Shayna win it.

Honestly, with all the new faces the women’s locker room has since the draft, I feel like a tournament would have made perfect sense. Great way to showcase the new faces.

Overall highlights:

Seth Rollins looks good with the title around his waist. And, it feels really good to know RAW has a champion once again.

Nice exchange between Seth and AJ, and also Judgement Day.

Cody with another strong promo.

Really fun main event, too.

After the final bell:

We’ve got the first two Superstars qualified for Money In The Bank, with Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura punching their tickets to London.

Money In The Bank is a month away (just about), and more qualifiers are heading our way.

All in all, pretty enjoyable show to wrap up Memorial Day!
