To go with the new AEW show, Collision, Bryan Danielson is helping with the creative aspect for the latest addition to an already full week of wrestling.
Bryan Danielson Is Helping With New AEW Show
AEW will be expanding next month, as a new show debuts Saturday. Starting June 17th, Collision will be another two hour show for the promotion.
The show was supposed to revolve around CM Punk, but he was not featured in the promotional material. There are conflicting reports how AEW and Punk were not able to reach a settlement following the All Out brawl in September.
We will have to see if both sides can come to an agreement before the show debuts.
According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Bryan Danielson is helping on the creative side. The report continued how Danielson was praised for the decision.
Also, Tony Khan, Pat Buck, Will Washington, Sonjay Dutt and QT Marshall will have a say in producing the show. Dutt and Marshall will supposedly being contributing heavily.
Jerry Lynn, Dean Malenko and Christopher Daniels will be providing creative input.
When Danielson was forced into retirement, he held a similar role for WWE on the SmackDown brand. Once cleared by doctors, he switched his focus to being a full-time wrestler again.
Danielson joined AEW in September 2021. While he has not won any titles, he remains one of more high-profiled wrestlers for the company.
After failing to win the AEW Championship from MJF, Danielson returned to TV in late March. He turned heel, as did the rest of The Blackpool Combat Club.
Currently, The Blackpool Combat Club are working opposite The Elite. The feud will likely run the entire summer.
With Danielson’s knowledge of the business, he could be a major asset for AEW. He is well respected, which is another advantage for the company.
