The main event for Bellator 298 is official, as former interim welterweight champion Logan Storley battles Brennan Ward. The event takes place August 11 from South Dakota.
Bellator 298 Main Event Between Logan Storley-Brennan Ward
The headline bout for Bellator 288 is set, as former interim welterweight champion Logan Storley returns home. Storley will take on Brennan Ward live on Showtime on August 11 from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Storley, a 30-year-old, is coming off a decision loss to Yaroslav Amosov in a unification match for the Bellator title. That defeat snapped his three-fight win streak that included a split decision over Michael Page for the interim belt.
Amosov also holds the only other win over Storley, besting him by split decision back in 2020. Of Storley’s 14 career wins, eight have come by way of knockout.
Ward has resurrected his career since a tough 1-3 run early on. After five years away from competing, he returned in 2022 and finished Brandon Bell.
Since the win over Bell, Ward has also stopped both Kassius Kayne and Sabah Homasi to improve to 17-6 overall.
Valentin Moldavsky Returns In Co-Main
Former interim heavyweight champion Valentin Moldavsky will be in the co-main event of Bellator 298, as he battles Steve Mowry. The card also features Dalton Rosa vs. Aaron Jeffrey and Sidney Outlaw against Islam Mamedov.
