It’s been almost a year since Trinity Fatu, known as Naomi in the WWE, walked out of the May 16th edition of Monday Night RAW, along with Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks). A new report indicates she is set to head to another promotion, soon.

Trinity Fatu Heading To Impact

With her partner Moné wrestling with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and STARDOM, fans have wondered if they’d see Trinity land somewhere soon. Some new reports shed light on this.

According to PWInsider Elite, Trinity is set to debut in Impact Wrestling for this weekend’s tapings that take place in Cicero, Illinois. The promotion has been teasing a huge surprise, which is likely Ms. Fatu.

The report also states that this will not be a one-off appearance on Impact. The debut will mark the beginning of her tenure with the promotion.

No other information is provided on her Impact contract, including the duration or money offered. However, this does look like a done deal.

More On Trinity Fatu & Her Jump To Impact

Fightful has confirmed that Impact and Fatu have been in discussions. They note that she has also been backstage at ROH, GCW, and NJPW recently.

Plus, there were also talks that she may return to the WWE at some point. With that said, the company has not made any new hires as of 2023.

In addition, Trinity confirmed in late March via Instagram that she was completely done with the WWE. The female talent had an incredible career with the company.

She joined the promotion in 2009, working the developmental territories then known as Florida Championship Wrestling. She’d head to the main roster in 2012 with Cameron and worked as The Funkadactyls, dancing valets for Brodus Clay.

She’d eventually jump into the wrestling action herself, becoming a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, Women’s Tag Champ, and she won the WM Women’s Battle Royal in 2018. Everyone here at WNZ is wishing Fatu all the best with this new endeavor.

Meanwhile, HHH recently announced that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is coming back. So, who does the company see as the “leading” contender to hold the title, first?

#1 Candidate – WWE World Title

The inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion is set to be determined on Saturday, May 27th during Night of Champions. The event is taking place in Saudi Arabia.

WrestleVotes, a very popular wrestling “spoiler” account on Twitter recently told GIVEMESPORT that Triple H sees Seth Rollins as the “#1 candidate” to be the first talent to hold that title. He seems to be “the guy in the lead”, internally.

This serves as good news for fans of Seth. Unfortunately, Rollins hasn’t held a top-tier title since 2019.

What About Cody Rhodes?

Then again, some fans believe Cody Rhodes would be in contention. Especially since he wasn’t able to “finish the story” and capture a championship at WrestleMania 39.

However, it doesn’t look like he’ll be in the running. As per the report, Rhodes is still “fixated” and “wrapped” into a storyline with Roman Reigns.

WrestleVotes goes on to say that Cody needs to be the guy to beat the Tribal Chief. Giving Rhodes the title so soon after his WM 39 loss would do nothing for both Cody and the new title.

Trips unveiled the beautiful new title during the April 24th edition of RAW. He made it crystal clear that the championship will land on the brand that Roman Reigns isn’t on when the WWE Draft is settled this coming week.

The first round of the draft starts on Friday, April 28th on SmackDown. The second round takes place on Monday, May 1st during RAW.
