Max Holloway Looking To Serve Notice Saturday At UFC On ESPN

For Max Holloway, there is no time like the present.

The former UFC featherweight champion will headline UFC on ESPN this Saturday vs. Arnold Allen. The event is the second visit to Kansas City and first since 2017.

All of the action will air live on ESPN and stream on ESPN+.

Along with Holloway vs. Allen, Edson Barboza meets Billy Quarantillo, Dustin Jacoby is in action with Ion Cutelaba, Pedro Munhoz and Clay Guida.

But the focus is on Holloway, as the 31-year-old looks to make that climb once more.

Holloway is coming off a decision defeat to Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title. That marked the third loss to Volkanovski for “Blessed,” with all three going to the scorecards – and all three being for the belt.

Around that, he is 23-4 overall and 16-1 with wins over Frankie Edgar, Yair Rodriguez, Jose Aldo (twice), Anthony Pettis and Charles Oliveira.

Allen is a different challenge, though. The England native is 19-1 overall and coming off back-to-back finishes over Calvin Kattar and Dan Hooker. He has stopped 11 of his opponents, with the lone loss coming way back in 2014.
