Jinder Mahal Is Part Of NXT

It is a big time for WWE as they are in the middle of their draft. On SmackDown, several superstars learned if their new home will be RAW or SmackDown.

For a select few, they are getting bumped from NXT to the main roster. Although, one particular name was not mentioned during the draft and for a good reason.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Jinder Mahal is now a full time member of NXT. Therefore, he was not discussed by WWE.

Mahal’s run in WWE is one of the oddest stories in WWE history. Upon joining the main roster over a decade ago, he was never placed too high.

He was a member of low-tier stable, 3MB, for several years, until getting released. A few years later, he would re-sign with WWE.

Then, he was suddenly pushed right to the top of the promotion and won the WWE Championship. His reign has been heavily criticized by fans who never saw him as main event wrestler.

After a few months, he dropped the title to AJ Styles on SmackDown. As a result, Mahal was removed a Survivor Series match against Brock Lesnar.

There has been speculation that Lesnar did not see much in Mahal and passed on the idea. So, WWE had Styles win the gold days before the show and then he unsuccessfully challenged Lesnar.

During this push, Mahal was also patterned with The Singh Brothers. Often, they helped him keep his title.

Mahal would then have a brief run as United States Champion. Still, he never got too far.

Then, at the star of 2023, he was sent to NXT. He worked with Bron Breaker, but was unable to win the NXT Championship.

Lately, he has been teaming with Veer and Sanga. So, going ahead, Jinder Mahal is part of NXT full time.

So, what are you thoughts that Jinder Mahal is part of NXT going forward?

Big Surgery For Kurt Angle

Even before entering pro wrestling, Kurt Angle had a bad neck. Remember, he famously won an Olympic gold medal with a ‘broken freakin neck.’

So, taking a ton of bumps inside a wrestling ring did not help matters. Angle has undergone countless surgeries and could need neck fusion down the line.

On the latest episode of “The Kurt Angle Show,” the WWE Hall of Famer discussed his current medical status.

“I hope my doctor’s not listening to this,” said Angle. “The day I got out of the hospital, after my surgery, I went and worked out.”

“I was supposed to take six weeks off. I never stopped working out.”

“My upper body is still weak, and it probably always will be, unless I get this fusion surgery in my neck. But I don’t know if I’ve waited too long […] my strength in my upper body will never come back.”

Angle has spoken several times about returning inside the ring. Although, with his current health and turning 54 years old late last year, those are simply far-fetched wishes.

WWE ran a program where Angle selected Baron Corbin as his final opponent. Corbin would win at WrestleMania 35, while Ange officially retired.

Despite being done inside the ring, Angle continues to make sporadic appearances on WWE TV. His last appearance was at RAW XXX, appearing alongside DX.

Hopefully, Angle does not leave WWE and decide to wrestle a few more matches for another promotion. That happens too much, like with Ric Flair, and fans are never pleased with how things transpire.
