Flair dropped her WWE SmackDown Women’s title to Rhea Ripley during Night One of ‘Mania. The match was highly praised, with some believing it should’ve closed the show.

The report emphasized that the plans were already in place for Flair to lose the SD Women’s Championship, long before Charlotte’s proposed hiatus. It also notes the decision was Flair’s and was not because of creative plans.

Born as Robert Miller, Butch rose to popularity, along with his tag team partner Bushwhacker Luke in the 1980s. Luke announced Butch’s death in an emotional social media post the following Sunday, April 3rd.

He had been hospitalized on Friday, March 31st. He arrived in LA for WrestleMania 39, from New Zealand the Wednesday prior to WWE’s flagship event.

TMZ notes that Luke states that Butch was “all good” up until Friday morning.  However, he was said to be hospitalized due to a situation with “medication”.

Not much more has been offered about Butch’s medical emergency and what exactly caused his passing, as of this writing. WNZ will keep fans updated as more information comes out.

A GoFundMe Account Has Been Set Up

A GoFundMe account was set up by Bushwhacker Luke’s daughter, Jackie Williams. Initially, it was to cover Butch’s medical cost, and now his funeral.

The HOFer leaves behind his wife, two daughters, and many grandchildren. On behalf of everyone here at WNZ we offer our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and fans.

Butch retired in 2001 after 30 years of in-ring action. This was due to a neck injury.

While he was in the hospital for his neck issues many years ago, he did get sepsis. With that said, he recovered from both his neck injury and subsequent sepsis with time.

It’s unknown if his neck injury or sepsis were related to his cause of death. Regardless, the wrestling world will continue to mourn the death of this legendary superstar.
