Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz has been hit with an arrest warrant.
According to a report by MMA Fighting, Diaz is being looked at as part of a brawl that took place in New Orleans.
“There has been an arrest warrant issued,” New Orleans Police Department spokesperson Karen A. Boudrie told the said, “he is not in custody.”
Diaz is charged with second-degree battery after a fight on Bourbon Street that went viral. His representatives have declined to comment on the situation.
In the video, Diaz is shown to have allegedly choked Rodney Peterson, a lookalike of Logan Paul, unconscious after a brawl that spilled out of a bar. Peterson, who was in New Orleans to support teammate Chris Avila at Misfits Boxing 6, showed off a head injury on social media.
There is also video of the incident that shows a mass of people, including Diaz, involved.
Diaz is scheduled to meet Paul’s younger brother, Jake Paul, in a boxing match on August 6. Theat event is to be co-promoted by both Diaz and Paul’s promotions.
