Bellator 291 Results: Yaroslav Amosov Unifies Welterweight Titles

With a one-sided decision, Yaroslav Amosov made a statement at Bellator 291 Saturday.

Amosov dominated Logan Storley, unifying the welterweights titles live on Showtime from Dublin, Ireland.

The bout was the first for the Ukraine fighter since taking a leave of absence to defend his country from attack last year. Amosov improved to 27-0, which gives him the longest active win streak in all of mixed martial arts.

“I feel very good because I waited for this for a long time,” the champion said. “I train hard training, and I feel a lot of motivation and responsibility. Now, I relax. I’ll relax after the fight, and I’m happy because I think I gave my country a good day.

“It’s the first time I’ve had big support in the cage. In America, I’ve had support, but not like today. Many Ukrainian flags, many Ukrainian people. My uncle, my friends; I see many people. It was a big support, and it gave me very good energy.”

In the co-main event, Jeremy Kennedy downed Pedro Carvalho via decision.

The promotion also announced plans to return to the 3Arena on September 23 with another event.
