It was a big weekend for BLK Prime, as the service aired the Terence Crawford boxing title fight.
Crawford bested David Avanesyan to defend his title from Omaha. The event also featured a win by Cris Cyborg in the boxing ring over Gabrielle Holloway.
Early reports indicate that buys for the sold-out event exceeded initial projections on BLK Prime digital, further solidifying BLK Prime’s position as the newest and best destination for high-quality boxing content.
“As a multicultural platform, BLK Prime is dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone, and we are proud to be a pillar for diversity in the sport of boxing.” said a representative for BLK Prime. “We were honored to be the only sponsor for this event, allowing the focus to remain squarely on the fighters and their incredible talent.”
They also announced earlier this week that Adrien Broner would face Ivan Redkach in February under the BLK Prime banner. Christy Martin Promotions will promote the fight.
“I have a passion for the sport of boxing and my commitment to provide opportunities for both women and men is at the forefront of my vision,” said Martin. “BLK Prime has shown tremendous support to me and I’m excited to be the head promoter for this event. The plan is to have some very talented female fighters on the card.”
