WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 Report Card: Grades Are In

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey vs Shotzi

Personally, I like Shotzi and think she could be champion someday. The problem, is she is facing Ronda Rousey who has only lost a few times in WWE.

Shotzi did better than most expected. If I was her, she should have brought someone to help counter Shanaya Blazer.

I think everyone expected Rousey to win, inclining the betting sites. If anything, Shotzi looked good out there, even though she had no chance of winning. Grade: B

Men’s WarGames Match: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa) vs Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland), Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens)

The Bloodline is usually on the same page, but there were questions about Sami Zayn. And, that tension was shown between The Bloodline as they early imploded several times.

If anything, we know Sami is loyal to The Bloodline. Now, we will have to see how long it takes them to on him.

Like the Women’s WarGames Match, I wish the weapons came into play much earlier. Honestly, I was hoping for more violence as the women did a better job. Grade: B

United States championship: Seth Rollins vs Bobby Lashley vs Austin Theory

In the span of a month, all three superstars have undergone character changes. If I am guessing, perhaps Seth Rollins is a face because the rest are clearly heels.

For the most part, Rollins and Austin Theory kept Bobby Lashley isolated. Therefore, we got to see Rollins and Theory battle.

The crowd was really into Rollins, but Theory winning makes sense. He needed a belt to get over and Lashley is busy with Brock Lesnar. Grade: B+

AJ Styles vs Finn Balor

This feud goes back to Japan when AJ Styles took over The Bullet Club from Finn Balor. It is amazing to think these two have only met once before under the WWE umbrella.

Heading into the bout, there were expectations as these two could produce a late winner for match of the year. Thankfully, The O.C. and The Judgement Day left ringside to focus on Styles – Balor.

Not the best match between the two, but it was exciting. Clearly, they are far from finished. Grade: B+

Women’s WarGames Match: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim and Becky Lynch vs Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky), Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley)

The women made history as they became the first main roster superstars in WWE to partake in WarGames. And, I must say, Bianca Belair looked like a real star out there.

At first, there were lots of great spots without weapons. Then, Nikki Cross, Bayley and Mia Yim filled the ring with almost everything under the ring.

I do wish the ladder was better used, especially since there were two inside the rings. Iyo Sky and Becky Lynch had spots of the match, but “The Man” was clearly booked as the star. Grade: A-
