It’s a big post-Thanksgiving SmackDown in a Nutshell, and ’twas the night before WarGames…

OK, enough with that holiday-themed fun.

Seriously, following the American Thanksgiving holiday, it’s time for SmackDown.

And yes, it is the night before WarGames. Better known as…our go-home show.

We’ve learned who the 5th Superstar on men’s face team was-Kevin Owens.

But that was so last week for WWE.

This week? Specifically, this show?

It’s time to learn who will join Bianca Belair’s team as their fifth…and surely, there are plenty of guesses and wishes.

Beyond that, we will surely get our last two hours (or slightly less, really) of final WarGames hype.

Well, really it is still Survivor Series, but we have all eyes on the big structure, for reasons.

So…it is time for…

SmackDown In A Nutshell: ‘Twas The Night Before WarGames…

Let’s crack open this Nutshell and see how things go!

Best Match of the night:

I can call this the best match before it happens, I was that confident.

Sheamus and Drew against The Usos? Yes please.

Banger…after banger…

To be fair, this one wasn’t like, a four or five star match.

It was good, and there was a lot of story to be told here. Surprised to see the faces get the advantage.

I expect the KO-Sami stuff will be told throughout that whole match. Is tomorrow the time for the Honorary Uce to be gone’?

Worst match of the night:

Not a match. I mean, maybe it could have been, but no.

Tonight I will complain about watching a “live” SmackDown on a roughly 10 minute delay due to a mediocre college football game.

So, for someone like me who does follow along on Twitter? Bad idea.

Star of the Night

Becky Lynch got a big pop.

Bray Wyatt too.

Santos Escobar got a big win.

Spot of the Night:

Jobber of the Night:

Can I give this one to Braun? For, ya know…losing to that flippy floppy guy?

Upset of the Night:

Ricochet over Strowman.

Come on…tell me this isn’t someone in some office giving Braun a bit of medicine for his social media rant.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

It was logical, and the timing made sense.

But…seeing the graphic on the big screen and hearing her music? Still awesome

Becky Lynch was revealed as the fifth member of Bianca’s team.

Botch of the night:

Serious question-was this taped on Thanksgiving? Or did Bayley botch her opening line about being in Providence on Thanksgiving night?

Also, WWE is calling Sara Logan “Valhalla” now. It’s a botch for a couple reasons.

One…most of us know and remember Logan…she wasn’t that long ago.

Two…they had the announcers point her out last week. So…ooops.

I will slightly retract it though, since this one at least had some explanation to it.

Commentary of the night:

Cole going off on the video of Dom and Rhea crashing the Mysterio family Thankgsiving.

LOL Moment of the night:

Just going to leave this one here…

Noteworthy Moment:

The teasers continue…

Also…

Seeds continue to be planted…

Overall lowlights:

Having the opening of SmackDown delayed because of college football. Meh.

One minor complaint on Becky’s return/reveal. It opened the show basically.

Last week when we found out who was joining Sheamus? That closed things out.

Could have done the same here…though now as I write this…what could possibly be better in the closing slot?

Overall highlights:

It became kind of obvious, more so once Mia Yim was added and only one spot remained.

That said, it’s good to have Becky Lynch back.

Nice to see Strowman kinda get a dose of medicine for his remarks, and for WWE to leverage them to boot. Or was that always the plan…

LA Knight versus Bray Wyatt…no match scheduled but we can’t look away.

After the final bell:

Solid show, for sure.

I think Becky’s reveal was the best moment of the night. Nothing in the main event warranted it going last, honestly.

Like, I would have done something like last week’s Owens reveal, but for Becky. Didn’t have to get too physical…could have just been a reveal and fade to black.

So, now it’s all said and done, and all that remains is WarGames.

I have a hunch that Boston will give us more twists and turns…but for now, we wait.
