PFL Sets Price For First-Ever PPV Featuring Kayla Harrison

The PFL is putting the pressure on Kayla Harrison.

Which is nothing new to the Olympic gold medalist and multi-time world champion.

Harrison will seek another league title and $1 million check when she faces Larissa Pacheco on November 25 in the finals. The bout will serve a the main event from Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

And, for the first time in promotional history, it will air live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.

The PFL is joining the UFC in the mixed martial arts pay-per-view market for the first time. And they are doing it with Harrison in the headline act.

To flash back a few years, this seems very similar to what Strikeforce did with the women fighters. They put Gina Carano and Cris Cyborg live on CBS in the main event.

The numbers were great, and the promotion continued pushing females to the forefront. They had Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate take on the leading role in 2012.

After Strikeforce closed down, the UFC used Rousey, Tate and many, many others in key roles and main events.

Now, here is the PFL with Harrison setting her sights on doing this one again. The card will feature five other championship matches with each winner receiving $1 million.

Earlier this week, the PFL announced they would set the price at $49.99 for the event. Along with Harrison and Pacheco, Brendan Loughnane and Bubba Jenkins square off for the featherweight title.

Ante Delija and Matheus Scheffel meet at heavyweight, Stevie Ray squares off with Olivier Aubin-Mercier at lightweight, Dilano Taylor collides with Sadibou Sy at welterweight and Omari Akhmedov takes on Rob Wilkinson at light heavyweight.

Along with those bouts, Aspen Ladd and Julia Budd meet. Again, the women taking the stage in the first fight.
