When it looked like he was getting released, it seems WWE had big Aleister Black plans. Plus, Becky Lynch appears close to a return following her SummerSlam injury.

WWE Had Big Aleister Black Plans

Just a few months ago, it almost looked like he was getting out of AEW…and if he had, WWE had big Aleister Black plans.

That news comes according to the Wrestling Observer.

To catch up on things, WWE released Aleister Black last year in one of many surprise moves.

While he had made it to the main roster, someone goofed with the paperwork, and his non-compete never got changed to a 90 day.

Not that that would matter now, of course…but right around his departure, his wife returned to WWE.

Now, he’s unhappy in AEW, and she’s having fun in WWE. It seemed like he was on his way out of the company, having said good byes and whatnot.

But, in spite of it seemingly like Black was released…now it seems like he was not and will not be.

The lack of release is a bummer, because according to reports, WWE had big Aleister Black plans.

How big? Well, it seems like he was strongly considered for a pivotal role in the rumored Wyatt 6 faction.

Now, unless something changes or has changed very quietly, we might get a Wyatt 6…but if we do, we will not likely have Aleister Black in it.

And, after this week’s SmackDown, we don’t know if there will be one. We did get a very emotional Bray Wyatt, who was cut off by someone wearing his new mask on the big screen.

Now, that could have been him, pre-recorded…but we will have to wait and see.

Becky Lynch Close To Return

We have not seen much of her since she injured her shoulder at SummerSlam, but Becky Lynch is apparently close to her in-ring return.

In another update from the Observer, the buzz is that Lynch is close to a return.

She was backstage at a recent RAW, and the belief is she will remain on the red brand moving forward.

That makes sense, seeing as her husband is also on RAW.

Becky Lynch separated her shoulder during her SummerSlam match with Bianca Belair.

Before she walked off, she was involved in a stare-down with the returning Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai.

While injured, she was officially written off on the following RAW. Fans saw Lynch laid out by Damage Control.

Now, her shoulder is nearly healed. While there has been no mention of her coming back, it would seem to be imminent.

It’s worth pondering, with Survivor Series approaching, and this year the main roster getting War Games…could Lynch return to be a factor in the women’s match?

Or, if not in the match itself…could we see Lynch return during the match or immediately after, in order to seek her revenge?

All valid questions, and with WWE having a plethora of returns of late, we can expect something good when Becky Lynch does make it back.
