WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been on an unstoppable roll since his 2020 SummerSlam return. After defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38, The Tribal Chief has been making sporadic appearances on WWE TV. During a recent interview, he offers the “reason why” for his “time off”.

Why Roman Reigns Took Time Off

The Head of the Table was recently on the Today Show. During the interview, he explains that he wanted some time off for his kids.

He reveals the benefits of a new “limited” schedule. Roman states that when you have “that many kids”, you need to have a schedule with them.

Reigns notes that having a lot of kids also means giving them as much attention as possible. In addition, he says that shifting his schedule has been great because it gives him more time at home to strengthen the bonds he has.

The Top Dog also states he’s in a “blessed situation”. With one daughter and two sets of twins (a total of five children), it looks like he has a busy household that’s likely filled with a lot of love.

Roman Reigns is set to face Brock Lesnar at the 2022 SummerSlam event in a Last Man Standing match, this Saturday. It should be yet another interesting bout between the two in their legendary feud.

Speaking of “legendary”, Tully Blanchard has had an incredible wrestling career. He’s been part of the Four Horseman, won multiple championships in multiple promotions, and is even a WWE Hall of Famer.

In recent years, he’s been signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), acting as a manager. He was aligned with The Pinnacle stable and FTR, but now it looks as if he is no longer with the company.

Tully Blanchard’s AEW Status

Blanchard was not present at the Ring of Honor’s (ROH) Death Before Dishonor show. It was later said that Prince Nana acquired Tully Blanchard Enterprise.

With that said, Sean Sapp recently stated that there have been conflicting reports about Tully’s absence. One states that he simply missed a flight, while the others note that there was confusion around his travel.

Sapp reveals he was told that Blanchard’s prison ministry group was the reason he wasn’t at the event. ROH staff and talent that were asked stated Tully is gone from AEW and will not be placed into future plans.

Tully Blanchard’s History With AEW

At the age of 65, Tullly unexpectedly showed up during a sit-down interview on AEW between Shawn Spears and Jim Ross in the summer of 2019. It was reported that Blanchard signed a deal with the company, working as Spears’s “exclusive advisor”.

In the summer of 2020, Blanchard aligned himself with Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, FTR. He, FTR, and Spears would join The Pinnacle in the spring of 2021.

Unfortunately for Tully, he was fired by the FTR about a year later in March 2022. Blanchard moved to ROH and led the Tully Blanchard Enterprises faction with Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony (Kaun and Toa Liona).

What will the former Four Horseman stablemate do next? Only time will tell.
