Details You Missed On The July 18th Raw

WWE RAW

As we continue our drive down the road to SummerSlam, here are a few details you might not have noticed on this week’s Monday Night Raw from Tampa, Florida.

Bianca Belair’s Yearlong Comeback Story

I remember last summer when the Internet went into a red-faced fury when Bianca lost her title in 20 seconds to a returning Becky Lynch. Despite calls that Belair was “buried,” she has been at the top of the card and one of WWE’s most visible stars at sporting events and the red carpets. It is clear that WWE sees a big future in Belair and views her as the next top star for the company.

What’s interesting here is that we have the champion playing the underdog and playing it convincingly. There’s a compelling case to be made that Becky has been slighted a bit herself and has not had a fair shot at the title, either. Given a straight-up match vs. Belair, Lynch could win.

I think Belair could lose the title at SummerSlam and chase Becky for the title until next year’s WrestleMania

Is Dominik going to join Judgement Day?

In a move of total desperation to save his father, Dominik tried to join Judgment Day.

Priest and Balor saw right through the young Mysterio’s ploy and preceded to beat him with a chair.

But maybe Dom is turning? We are seeing the creepy red lights again.

What Does Dolph Ziggler Want To Do With Theory?

Theory has at least three different feuds going on at the moment, and the weirdest one is with Dolph Ziggler. For the last two Raws, the Show-Off and former NXT champion has interfered in Theory’s matches.

What does he want?

My theory(ha) is that Ziggler sees much of himself in Theory. Ziggler was a young massive talent who had the tendency to show off and come off a bit arrogant. Maybe he doesn’t want Theory to make the same mistakes that he did coming up?

What To Expect For The Miz vs. Logan Paul

Logan Paul won me over with his match at WrestleMania, and I expect to see fireworks in his match vs. the Miz at SummerSlam. Hardcore wrestling fans will scoff at his inclusion, but the reality is that he is one of the biggest stars on social media and will get more eyes on wrestling.

Also, he said something on RAW that showed me how seriously he takes this. He referred to wrestling in a statement saying he greatly respects this “sport.”

Now you don’t hear many people call pro wrestling a sport anymore. It is an antiquated term not used since the 80s, at least. But to see Paul say this shows me that he isn’t phoning it in or trying to expose the business through one of his pranks. He will put the screws to the Miz, and it’ll be a great match.
