UFC 275: What To Watch For On The Prelims This Saturday

Plenty of big fights are lined up on Saturday’s UFC 275 card, including two championship matches.

But there is also quite a bit to keep an eye on before the pay-per-view kicks off.

UFC 275 takes place live from Kallang, Singapore and the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Prelims will air on ESPN, ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.

As of now, we have seven fights lined up for the early prelims and prelims. In the “main event,” middleweights Jacob Malkoun and Brendan Allen square off.

Malkoun has picked up two consecutive wins since losing his UFC debut. This will be just his eighth career fight, but he has shown a strong knack for taking punishment and giving it out since falling to Phil Hawes in 2020.

Allen has been in the UFC since 2019, going 6-2 including a win over Kevin Holland by submission. He also finished Tom Breese, submitted Karl Roberson and is coming off a second round submission of Sam Alvey.

Another intriguing prelim fight will see Jake Matthews meet Andre Fialho in the welterweight division.

Matthews had his three-fight win streak snapped last year by Sean Brady. He had bested Diego Sanchez, Emil Weber Meek and Rostem Akman prior to the setback.

Fialho comes in off back-to-back first round finishes of Cameron VanCamp and Miguel Baeza. If he can do the same vs. Matthews, that will skyrocket his stock in the UFC and the division.

Other bouts scheduled include Seung Woo Choi-Joshua Culibao, Steve Garcia-Hayisaer Maheshate, Kang Kyung-Ho vs. Danaa Batgerel, Liang Na vs. Silvana Gomez Juarez and Ramona Pascual vs. Joselyne Edwards.
