Two Title Fights, Gabriel Varga Set For Karate Combat Event

The upcoming Karate Combat event will feature two title fights and the debut of Gabriel Varga.

Set for June 25 from “The Backlot at Universal Studios” in Orlando, the card airs live online. This will be the first Karate Combat event open to the public.

In the main event, Ross Levine challenges Shahin Atamov for the middleweight title. Eoghan Chelmiah puts his bantamweight belt on the line vs. Illies Mardhi.

“This is a landmark event for Karate Combat – the first time that we’re allowing fans to buy tickets. Until now, you could only attend a Karate Combat event by invitation. We’re putting on a stacked card at an iconic location, the atmosphere will be electric and I expect this to be the best event in Karate Combat history,” said Karate Combat President Adam Kovacs.

Varga, a former Bellator and GLORY champion, will make his debut in a lightweight contest. His opponent will be determined this weekend.

The third Karate Combat event of season four takes place Saturday with Rafael Aghayev meeting Zsolt Habda.
