Bellator 277: A.J. McKee-Patricio Pitbull Square Off Friday

Two Bellator titles will be on the line this Friday at Bellator 277.

In the main event, A.J. McKee and Patricio Pitbull battle for the featherweight title. The co-main event will see the light heavyweight title up for grabs between Vadim Nemkov and Corey Anderson.

The Nemkov-Anderson bout will also be the final in the Bellator Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix. The winner receives the belt and $1 million.

All the action goes down from the SAP Center in San Jose, California live on Showtime.

McKee captured the belt in July with a first round submission win over Pitbull in the grand prix final. The win was his 18th in 18 pro bouts and the third consecutive submission victory.

Pitbull had put together a five-year unbeaten run prior to the setback.

Nemkov won his title in 2020 with a second round TKO of Ryan Bader. He defended it twice in the grand prix with wins over Phil Davis and Julius Anglickas.

Anderson, a former UFC title contender, topped Bader in the GP semifinals for his 16th career victory.

The rest of the card is filled with interesting fights.

Aaron Pico returns, taking on Adli Edwards in a featherweight contest. Also, Timothy Johnson and Linton Vassell meet in the heavyweight division.

The prelims will feature the likes of Tyrell Fortune, Rafael Carvalho, Kyle Crutchmer and Rhalan Gracie.
