Before AEW, there were not many options for wrestlers in the United States. They had the likes of Ring Of Honor, MLW and Impact Wrestling but they do not compare to WWE.

And, there was always the option to travel overseas to Japan or the islands south of the United States.

Then, within the past three years, an alternative was formed called AEW. From the beginning, they made noise and they have not stopped.

Now, wrestlers seem to more interested in signing with AEW. We have seen WWE lose their own superstars to AEW and free agents are also making the same move.

Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast noted WWE missed out on someone they think is the complete package.

“By the way, Ethan Page is another dude that WWE is very high on,” said Zarian. “They like Ethan Page’s whole deal and I think he’s super hyper talented.”

Despite WWE showing interest in the former Impact Wrestling star, he took his talent elsewhere. Also, this leaves the door open for his former Impact Wrestling partner, Josh Alexander.

As for Page, he will not be going anywhere for a bit. He just signed an extension with AEW.

“I know that Ethan Page has re-signed and he’s there for a while, but I know for a fact that there are eyes on him for sure because he’s a guy who is a good looking guy who can cut a great promo,” said Zarian. “He has that TV look.”

“So, you gotta keep a guy like that happy, especially now that he re-signed with you. You gotta do something with him.”

Page is aligned with new AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky. They go by The Men of The Year and are often spotted with American Top Team.

WrestleMania 38 is about 10 days away and the card is finally starting to fill. There are still a few matches WWE needs to confirm.

Omos has been pencilled in to work the show, but he has no opponent. WWE had hoped it would be an injured Bobby Lashley.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lashley is yet to be cleared. A positive sign is his shoudkler did not require surgery.

He originally was hurt back at the Royal Rumble, although WWE kept the injury silent. At the Elimination Chamber, he was removed from the match after getting ‘hurt’ inside a pod.

That was all a work, so Lashley lost the WWE Championship without getting pinned. WWE has been stating that Lashley suffered a concussion to explain his absence.

It will come to down to possibly WrestleMania weekend before WWE makes a final call. Of course, if Lashley cannot work, WWE can toss anyone in last minute.
